Description
Uploading the ear tutorial in 2 parts so thebimages are easier to see.
Part 2 is here!! sharpe19.deviantart.com/art/Mi…
MATERIALS NEEDED
3mm or thicker craft foam
Fleece, flannel, minke, etc for inner ear
Faux fur
Marker
Paper
TOOLS NEEDED
Hot glue gun
Needle/thread (optional)
Scissors
Razor blade/hobby knife/etc
Tape
Mannequin head
Start off by tracing your mannequins shape and sketch your ear. Add flaps on either side for a nice C shape (add depth as well as strength). Tape it to your mannequin to get the right angle and to design the base for your ear. Transfer to 3mm or thicker EVA foam. Glue to your bases to ensure they retain a uniform curve.
Part 1 of 2 of the budget stream will be today at 11am EDT at www.picarto.tv/SharpeCostumes
What is the budget stream? It’s a live webinar showing how to fabricate a safe and usable fursuit head out of lower quality or cheaper materials (materials that are simple to use for novice makers that want to build, learn to build, and practice with, without breaking the bank). These materials are a good foundation to try before moving onto more expensive materials.
Lower quality doesn’t always mean bad quality when used properly and safely.
