A bit overdue, but not in bad timing either. Starts, I'm aware one horn is off, that is to be adjusted shortly.

Meet Vitaly (pronounced Vih-tal-ee, separating the consonants as such. Name inspired by tiger from Madagascar 3). This beastly suit features the following:

-LED silicone eyes by :icondreamvisioncreations:
-Double row resin spike horns by :icondreamvisioncreations: and stained by me.
-Removable large horns by :iconmagpiebones:
-NFT cheek/ear accents and a large NFT ridge (cheek to be textured further soon)
-Antron fleece face
-Hand cast jawset and silicone nose by me
-Hand sculpted eyelids and lips
-Hand formed 'snarl' marks
-Airbrushed accents
-5 different types of fur
-Moving jaw
-Resin base by :icononeeyeddoe: heavily modified by me

Yeah. He's a bit heavy. The jaw rigging needs adjusting, as does one of the horns. I have a strap that attaches to a waist strap to keep the head from sliding forward due to the weight of the base. He was a rush for Halloween that turned out far better than planned. He will debut at MFF this year.

these things people make alwayse seem to baffle me! how do you get the jaw to move?! what kind of mold do you use to make the basic head? how do you get the fur to look like that?! what kind of fleece do you use?! gah! so many questions >.< i wanna learn how to make one of these but i dont know where to start

Jaw to move-> my own jaw is secured in a cup that makes it move
Mold-> silicone
Fur-> trim with trimmers, scissors, and airbrushing
Fleece->antron (should say above on that one)

It takes practice, hours of research, and much trial and error.

This is awesome! I have a question- How did you get the raised bumps on his snout for the snarly look? Did you just use foam and then glue the fur in/around the ridges?

I'm making my first suit and it has to have a snarly face .__.
