Vintage Spook by Sharpe19 Vintage Spook by Sharpe19
I had created this guy early of last year, a little bit before Remmy. The pelt shown is about 80 years old and was originally in pieces. Poor guy was a puzzle. He's a vintage mink from a stole purchased at a local second hand store. His leather, although still stretchy, is rather weak and needs a gentle hand and a loving home. When made I had no intention of selling him due to how fragile he was (same being said for his skull as that is a real skull that I had purchased a couple years before hand...)

He's out of my own personal collection. I don't wish to sell him but my rat means more to me than he does. My rat Dimitri has contracted possible pneumonia and I'm trying to raise any funds that I can to cover any medical bills that may arise for her.

Unlike most stoles, he is in surprisingly good condition. He has all 4 paws and all claws, full tail, and his fur isn't yellowing like most furs his age. He's very soft and supple to the touch. All stuffing, no wires yet still very photogenic. His forelimbs were placed by the original seamstresses as are his rear (rear are a bit long, stretched from use I think). His jaw does move, no LED's this time. I had none small enough.

As he is I can only ask for $100 OBO, shipping in the US only please. He's incredibly light so shipping is included in the cost.

Please no hateful comments. Being a fur from the 1940's he was most certainly ranch raised and killed for his fur. I bought him when he was in pieces with hopes to restore the pelt to as full as I could. The skull is from a wild mink, trapped by a man in Idaho. I am only selling it to raise funds for a veterinary bill for my fancy rat.

Airbrushing onto real fur is a bit trickier since it adds the possibility of getting moisture onto the leather, causing dry rot in most cases. A full on galaxy coloration would be risky.

I understand how you would airbrush it ;) faux fur spooks require the time to pattern, something I haven't been able to do just yet and the demand is for the real thing more.

I admire how much you care for your rat. Many people arent willing to spend a lot of money when the animal only costs 2 dollars to replace D:
wich is sad bc ppl should love their little babies more than that!

this is a really pretty little thing.

He's gorgeous. If I could afford to, I'd buy him to help you out with your poor rattie...but I'm broke and have rent due in just under two weeks... Hope you get the funds you need to get her all better <3

Unfortunately rats have an accidental inbred medical condition called mycoplasma pnuemonia, it shows up under certain conditions and often a rat can come back from this but they also deteriorate very quickly once they have it. Get antibiotics immediately and see if your vet will allow payments. Left untreated for 10 days, even if they get better, rats will have permenant lung damage that will give them a persistent raspy breathing. After three weeks they are unlikely to become completely healthy and there is a high risk of death.

Unfortunately my own girl Rosie has developed a tumor and I am unable to assist you with Dimitri as she needs surgery to have it removed.
