Fursuit teeth ref. by Sharpe19 Fursuit teeth ref. by Sharpe19
I've been meaning on helping out a few people on how I make my teeth. I use Super Sculpey and to make my molds for my teeth, I use Crayola Model Magic (any color, it doesn't matter.) Keep in mind, these pictures of the skulls ARE NOT MINE! I didn't take them, but I do own similar skulls at home. After I form the tongue and make sure it doesn't mess with the jaws (them closing and opening) I glue it all in and I paint them. It's quite simple, if you have some skulls I guess. If you don't, you could always visit your local vet clinic to find out where you can get a few. Or if you're a hunter like me, you can just go harvest one yourself. I purchased my skulls at a local Trappers convention a few years ago so don't go chewing me out that I shot some poor little animal. It drives me nuts when people do that. These particular skulls are being used for science and education.

Looks great! Thanks a bunch.

Hum... We have some dead dogs out in the paddock, i might go for a drive and find one of those... if they haven't been destroyed... mind you, they'd probably be disease ridden...meh... what doesn't kill ya only makes you stronger! :D They probably won't be the right size... although there was one huge arse dog that was the size of a god darn horse! His skull'd probably be ok...

O.k... before you go and make yourself sick, you need to either boil the head (OUTSIDE!!! You'll end up scraping stuff off of 'er anyways this way) or if you can be patient, stick the head in an ant hill for a few weeks. They'll pick 'er cleaner than boiling it. If you go with the ants, they'll clean the inside out without damaging any of the bones, bus seeing as you only need the jaw set for a little while... Dang, I wish you were closer. I'd let you borrow one of my coyote skulls and one of my bobcat so you could see how to place 'em.

he, I don't get sick with dead animals. I'm a farmer (sor of) so i've kind of always been around death, and rotting flesh... The dogs died ages ago, so if i can actuarly find the the skulls, they shouldn't have any meat left on them.

Oh hey, then you get it made! I wasn't referring to you getting sick to your stomach from the smell/sight of decomp. so much as you getting sick from a disease the animals' body may have picked up after it died.

Just make a mold of the teeth, unless you want to refer back to them later or use the teeth again, you probably won't need it. Unless you get some sudden crazy urge to play out a role in Hamlet with the skull... "To be or not to be... That is the question."

I do too. I swear my ears bleed whenever I watch Romeo and Juliet. I seriously dislike Shakespeare. I love Edgar Allen Poe's "the Raven" though.
