Or is it the 6th...? The first original nose was cast out of resin, but the color wasn't as smooth as desired so I swapped over to silicone, mixing the pigment throughout. The second casting was done in a plaster mold, in which it had some flaws that I didn't notice until the first pull was made. The third nose was technically the second with an attempt to repair the flaws. Number four, five, and six are shown above.
I ditched the plaster mold and did a risky stunt, going off of what I figured out with making a mold of a skull. I applied a generous amount of mold release to my resin nose mold (a silicone mold) and mixed up the silicone and pigments, pouring it in. Pulled it the next day to find that it slid from the mold easily, but the amount of mold release used caused bubbles. Tried again, this time a little less. Once again, similar results, but not as severe. I applied a very tiny amount with the last one and, after it cured, went to pull it. It didn't budge. I was worried with how little of mold release I had used that the silicone adhered itself to the mold, leaving me with a block of silicone. I pulled from the other side and it popped free from the mold, leaving me with a perfect casting!
While it is not something that I would recommend trying as I hesitate to see if I will ever do that again for fear of risking loosing a really awesome mold, I am happy to say if you fail, try, try again until you get it right. Chances are with enough times, you will.
So you can cast silicone in a silicone mold? I was curious if it would stick to itself even with vaseline as a mold release but i guess not! Just wondering, is your mold just silicone or is it silicone inside ultracal?

Mine is just silicone, but it is not a method I would recommend as it was very risky.
